Establishing the probate value of an estate and house contents is essential, and this document will assist in the winding up process, because it is much less likely to be challenged by official organisations, such as the Inland Revenue.

We have all the expertise needed to provide accurate probate valuations of antiques, furniture, and collectables. Even when the contents or chattels have little or no value, we can provide a written probate valuation to reflect this, thereby easing the bureaucratic process and preventing possible overvaluation by a layman, which could result in overpayment of inheritance tax. We will always arrange for higher value items, works of art, and antiques to be assessed by a RICS chartered surveyor.
