Jeffrey Avery and Associates started as a London based company in 1978, serving the city and the Greater London area. Since then, we have expanded the range of services we provide, and operate nationwide. Our ethos from the very beginning was to provide professional service and value for money, and as we have grown, we have retained that commitment. The majority of our work comes through recommendation, and through our expanding and loyal customer base. We now have a network of accredited surveyors and valuers, all of whom are highly experienced in their relevant fields.
The Team
Jeffrey Avery - MD
Managing Director and founder of Jeffrey and Associates, with over 35 years of experience. Jeffrey oversees the development of the business. He has wide ranging experience in fine art and furniture, and has a particular interest in 20th century design. Jeffrey also regularly undertakes valuations for Inheritance Tax purposes.
John Weallans - Valuations Administrator
John is the Senior Administrator of the Probate Department and oversees all valuations. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and has a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Arts Valuation, and worked for Bonhams as a Regional Valuer. John has a comprehensive knowledge of all types of fine art, and undertakes valuations for Inheritance Tax purposes, and high value insurance valuations.
Clifford Lansberry - Consultant
Clifford is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, undertaking valuation work for insurance, probate, and current market value purposes, with a particular interest in fine art.
Clive Welch - Fine Art Valuer
Clive is a fourth generation valuer and auctioneer, with 30 years' experience, and undertakes valuations for Inheritance Tax purposes. He is also a consultant to firms dealing with high value contents insurance.
Giles Levett - Book Specialist
Giles Levett BA(Hons), M.Sc. PGCE and PBFA has over 20 years experience with antiquarian books, manuscripts, maps and autographs. He is a valuer and consultant for a number of london auction houses, he also carries out valuations for insurance purposes and inheritance tax calculations. Giles has a passion and in depth knowledge of modern 1st editions.
Keith Fraser - Chartered Surveyor
Keith G Fraser is a qualified member of the RICS having been elected in 2000. With a wide range of expertise including both the commercial and residential sectors, Keith is very active in all forms of residential and commercial valuation for all purposes,(including probate). In recent years, Keith has spent much time advising residential Freeholders and Leaseholders on Lease Extensions and Collective Enfranchisement, and where required has acted as an expert witness at LVT hearings. Keith has also appeared many times on TV and Radio as a political spokesperson, and is active in motivational speaking and communication.
Michael Payne - Business Development and Administration Manager
Michael Payne has a joint honours degree in Law and Psychology and is responsible for creating systems to ensure that Jeffrey Avery and Associates runs efficiently, complies with all green and other legislation, and for forging business relationships.
Caroline Henthorne - De-cluttering
Caroline is new to the team adding de-cluttering to the services Jeffrey Avery Associates has to offer. With a background in both psychoanalysis and business management Caroline coaches clients in de-cluttering their homes of excess belongings and organising what clients wish to keep. Whether you are; dressing a house to attract a buyer; organising moving home; have inherited a horde or are a horder yourself, Caroline can help you live clutter free.
Pam Mulinda - Office Manager
Pam is office manager, and has worked for Jeffrey Avery and Associates since its foundation, and is PA to Jeffrey Avery. She has helped to build all aspects of the business, introducing and implementing systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
